Why do you think that some species/strains of bacteria are resistant to disinfectants? In your post, refer to the structural features we learned about in Module One and the mechanism of action of disinfectants that we have learned about in the current module 8 (Prescott’s Microbiology). With the increasing availability of computers, most students now type their class papers using word processors rather than typewriters. Because it is so much easier to edit and change text with word processors, we might expect word-processed papers to be better than those simply typed. To test this hypothesis, imagine that we instructed 30 students to write a 1O-page term paper. We randomly assigned 15 students to type their papers on a typewriter and the other 15 students to type their papers on a word processor. (Let's assume all of the students were at least mediocre typists with some experience on a word processor.) After receiving the students' papers, we then retyped all of the papers to be uniform in appearance (to eliminate the confound that would occur because typed and word-processed papers look different). Then, a professor graded each paper on a 10-point scale. The grades were as follows:

a. State the null and experimental hypotheses.

b. Conduct a t-test to determine whether the quality of papers written using a word processor was higher than that of papers typed on a typewriter.

Please calculate the cost of equity using the DCF model: Rs = D1/P0 + g.

So, you need to collect or calculate D1, P0, and g to estimate the cost of equity, which is RS.

How to get D1, P0, and g?Go to Yahoo Finance (https://finance.yahoo.com/ (Links to an external site.)Links to an external site.) or Google Finance (https://www.google.com/finance (Links to an external site.)Links to an external site.) or Reuters (https://www.reuters.com/markets/stocks (Links to an external site.)Links to an external site.). Get the stock price (P0) and quarterly dividend (Div – multiply it by 4 to get annual dividend – D1) for your stock of the company you selected at the beginning of this course.

Use Dividend Yield – 5 Year Avg, which can be found from several finance sites, including https://www.reuters.com/markets/stocks (Links to an external site.)Links to an external site.. To find the Dividend Yield – 5 Year Avg on the Reuters site noted above, use the search bar to search for your stock. This will take you to an overview of the company and stock information. Click on the “Financials” tab to find Dividend Yield – 5 Year Avg. If you do not find the dividend yield, use the analyst’s forecast of earnings growth rate (EPS – 5 Yr. Growth Rate) as g.

How do you calculate the cost of equity? Now you have D1, P0, and g. Put them in the following formula to get R.

Put them in the following equation to get Rs for your companies: Rs = D1/P0 + g.

Customer Wants vs Needs

Needs
Clothes
Food
Shoes
Water
Housing
Doctor visits

Wants

Electricity
Cars
Phones of all kinds
Electronics

Product and service wants and needs are the same as basic wants and needs Wants are something you can do without but rather not it’s something you desire to have IE me with the Galaxy S4 instead of my Blackberry (I know it’s a relic) I wanted it so bad I was willing to cancel my contract early to get the phone Even though my contract ends in Sep it’s not a need I can wait but I would rather have it now A need is something I cannot do without it will affect some aspect of my life without having this Ie clothes without them I would be locked up for indecent exposure in public

How do I respond to this statement?

In the 21st century many of your wants are needs Live without electricity or phones? Really? And if you don’t live in a tight urban environment can you really do without a car?

For a £4000 loan is there some form of tax you have to pay up front before you get your loan? 3 answers below »

I applied for a loan of £4000 was accepted, had to pay £90 to show i was genuine and told this was a one off refundable payment and that by 9am this morning £4090 would be in my bank account. This never appeared and since then i have had a Shawn Miller phone me who said he was a tax officer at the british consulate in London (although as i pointed out to him he was phoning from the same number as the loan company) and i had to pay another £195 due to taxes which he has persauded the loan company to pay me back. I was passed pillow to post and in the end an apparent senior tax officer of the loan company put the phone down. I have checked this company out and they seem to have good reviews if anyone can shed some light on this i would be grateful. The company is Kwik cash. Thank you
