For a £4000 loan is there some form of tax you have to pay up front before you get your loan? 3 answers below »

I applied for a loan of £4000 was accepted, had to pay £90 to show i was genuine and told this was a one off refundable payment and that by 9am this morning £4090 would be in my bank account. This never appeared and since then i have had a Shawn Miller phone me who said he was a tax officer at the british consulate in London (although as i pointed out to him he was phoning from the same number as the loan company) and i had to pay another £195 due to taxes which he has persauded the loan company to pay me back. I was passed pillow to post and in the end an apparent senior tax officer of the loan company put the phone down. I have checked this company out and they seem to have good reviews if anyone can shed some light on this i would be grateful. The company is Kwik cash. Thank you
