Assignment: Should Virginia Governor Ralph Northam step down as governor of Virginia? An old photo taken in 1984 (35 years ago) shows two individuals, one with a blackface and the other wearing a Ku Klux Klan robe. Supposedly, it is believed that one of the individuals in this photo is the governor. They have been calls for him to resign due to the racist and offensive nature of the photo. The governor has refused to step down. Some people are calling for his resignation while others think he should remain in office. What side are you? Should he leave office and why? OR should he remain in office and why? Write a brief summary of your thoughts, bring it to class and be prepared to discuss your thoughts during class on Wednesday.
