HEALTH STRATEGIES ((5 PARAGRAPHS!!!!!!!!)

Mr. Cruz is a 34 year old Mexican man who went to the Emergency Department (ED) because of several days of upper respiratory track symptoms. A chest x-ray revealed a small lung nodule of unknown significance. He was felt to have a viral syndrome and was given an appointment to follow-up in the pulmonary clinic in 10 days for further evaluation of the nodule. After missing his initial and two rescheduled appointments, one of the nurses called him home to encourage him to keep his appointment scheduled for next week. As she speaks with him she is not confident that her message is understood. After completing the call the nurse discusses the patient with a HEALTH EDUCATOR expressing her frustration over communicating with patients who cannot speak English. She states: “These people never keep their appointments. I don’t know why we waste our time tracking them down.”

QUESTIONS:

 1. If you were the “Health Education Strategist” listening to the nurse’s frustration; how would you have responded to the nurse?

 2. In your view what is exactly going on with both the Nurse as well as Mr. Cruz?

 3. How can you help the two bridge the gap?

 4. In your professional life if you ever encountered a similar case, how would you handle it-what strategies you would apply?

 5. Is there any lesson to learn from this story?

Required Resources
Read/review the following resources for this activity: Textbook: Chapter 9, 12 (section: “The Ethics of Duty”) Lesson Minimum of 1 scholarly source

Introduction
Kant’s famous First Formulation of the Categorical Imperative reads, “Act only according to that maxim whereby you can at the same time will that it should become a universal law.” Kant taught morality as a matter of following maxims of living that reflect absolute laws. “Universal” is a term that allows for no exceptions, and what is universal applies always and everywhere. Lying, for any reason, is universally wrong. Be sure to listen to the audio simulation in this week’s lesson before posting in this discussion.

Initial Post Instructions
For the initial post, select one of the following scenarios: Consider the famous case of the Crazed Murderer. In your town the Crazed Murderer comes to your door looking for your friend and wanting to kill him. You know that your friend went home to hide. What do you tell the murderer? When he leaves and runs up the street to your friend’s house, what do you do? Consider the positions for and against stem cell research. If stem cell research can benefit a large segment of the population (from repairing cells to curing diseases), is it our duty to continue with such research even if there is the potential to abuse such technology? If so, what steps should be taken to prevent such abuses. Apply the Three Primary Schools of Ethics to determine if stem cell research should be allowed or prohibited.

Follow-Up Post Instructions
Respond to at least two peers or one peer and the instructor. Address at least one peer who chose a scenario different from yours. Further the dialogue by providing more information and clarification.

Writing Requirements Minimum of 3 posts (1 initial & 2 follow-up) Minimum of 2 sources cited (assigned readings/online lessons and an outside source) APA format for in-text citations and list of references

Metanarrative

Biblical Metanarrative Essay Instructions

The purpose of this assignment is to demonstrate your understanding of the unified and coherent nature of the Bible and the theological doctrines. One way to view Scripture is through the four major plot movements of Creation, Fall, Redemption, and New Creation. Considering biblical doctrines through these four plot movements can aid in our understanding of humanity and humanity’s relationship to God.

After viewing the presentation, Understanding the Metanarrative, and completing your textbook readings, you will be equipped to demonstrate the coherence of Scripture and share some of the implications of the unified message of the Bible.

For this assignment, you must write a 600–1,000-word essay addressing the following prompt:

The unity of the Bible is demonstrated through the Divine inspiration of the Holy Spirit on the human authors of Scripture. The study of theology uncovers and articulates the unity of all the biblical texts when they are taken together. From the list of approved doctrines to address, demonstrate the unified nature of the Bible by tracing that doctrine through the four major plot developments of Scripture.

For example, The Bible describes God as love in 1 John 4:8. The way to interpret “God is love” is to look at the biblical story that reveals God’s character through His actions. When looking at the idea of love through the four major plot movements in Scripture we see God’s love demonstrated in His creation of humanity, His patience with humanity after the fall, His sacrificial death to redeem humanity from the fall, and His restorative work through preparation of the heavenly home. (This example would be substantiated and demonstrated with biblical support, and be elaborated on within the essay.)

Assignment Requirements: Discuss the major      movement of the biblical metanarrative, its main character, and its      implications for understanding the unity of the biblical books. Choose two topics from the approved      topics list that are presented in Biblical doctrine with attention on how      these theological topics unfold through the through the four major plot      movements of Creation, Fall, Redemption, and New Creation. Using your theological examples, share the      implications that these examples provide humanity’s relationship to God. Incorporate at least 2 theological      references in your paper using course resources. Incorporate at least 2 relevant biblical      references. Write a clear introductory paragraph      including the thesis statement. A summative concluding paragraph must also      be included. Refer      to the “Course Policies” in the course syllabus for the      formatting expectations in this course.

   Assignment 4- Secret Questions

In this week’s reading we looked at accounts, identity, authentication, and account recovery. There is an old adage that says, “You can never be too safe. When it comes to the digital world, it’s very true. Cyber hackers and hijackers are lurking everywhere to steal digital information. And while it’s a piece of cake for them to get passwords and other sensitive information, for the rest of us, keeping track of login information is a hassle especially since everything needs its own password. It’s too much and eventually passwords get forgotten.

The week’s reading mentioned various methods of approach to account recovery. In your own words state what approach(s) you believe are the best approaches for account recovery, and how you would apply the approach in an enterprise setting. Please state your answer in a 1-2 page paper in APA format.  Include citations and sources in APA style.
