1. Transdermal patch and adhesive patchCOLLAPSE

A transdermal  patch is a medicated and adhesive patch that is placed on the skin to deliver a specific dose of medications through the skin and into the bloodstream…these patches administered scopolamine for motion sickness.often ,this promotes healing to an injury area of the body.An advantage of transdermal drug delivery such as oral ,topical intrav, intramuscular, etc…is that patch provides a controlled release of the medications into the patient, usually through either a porous menbrand covering a reservoir of medications  or through body heat melting thin layers of medications embedded in the adhesite. The disadvantage to transdermal  delivery  systems stems from the fact that the skin is a very effective barrier ,as a result, only medications whose molecules are small enough to penetrate the skin can be delivered by this method. The side effects are eye pain or redness blu vision and increase sensitivity to light.Confusion ,agitation ,extremely fear, unusual thoughts or behavior.

Adhesive patches have become a popular way to deliver a controlled amount of medication to a patient through transdermal absorption. This method is used as the medication is absorbed through the dermis by the blood vessels into the bloodstream. Once absorbed the medication is circulated through the patients body by the circulatory system. These patches often also promote healing to an injured part of the body. This method is thought to be more effective in controlling the amount of drug delivered in place of oral, topical, intravenous, or intramuscular route. Another advantage is that a pill may not absorb in the GI tract well and effectively has a low bioavailability. In addition, the drug may be rapidly metabolized in the liver thus making the patch a better option. One disadvantage is that not all medicine can be given this way, only medications whose molecules are small enough to penetrate the barrier of the skin can be used. Also continuous use of patches can cause irritation to the skin, and become additive as it provides such a quick response to the problem.
